Black Friday: Get a Glimpse of Lincoln Park's Shopping Specials

Are you planning to brave the holiday masses on Friday? 

They'll be no shortage of special offers in Lincoln Park businesses, owners have said. Below are a few highlights of what you can expect from the local shopping scene.

Comfort Me, 701 W. Armitage Ave.

This family-owned boutique, which sells women's apparel, accessories, home furnishings and gifts, will be offering several deals on Black Friday. Customers shopping between 10 a.m. and noon will save $25 off a purchase of $100. Those shopping between noon and 4 p.m. will receive $25 off on a purchase of $150 and those shopping between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. will receive $25 percent off a $200 purchase. All holiday decorations will be 50 percent off.

Camelot Children's Kingdom, 854 W. Armitage Ave.

This children's store will be offering an "outfit special," employees said. When customers buy the top to an outfit, they'll get the bottoms half off. 

Londo Mondo, 2148 N. Halsted St.

Specializing in swimwear, Londo Mondo also sells lifestyle wear, yoga gear and other casual fashion options. All Black Friday shoppers will receive 15 percent off all sale merchandise, which currently includes some swimwear, Hard Tail items and some summer and fall street wear.

Fortunate Discoveries, 1022 W. Armitage Ave.

This store features gift items and work made by 30 local artists. Black Friday specials will not be hard to come by inside, as artists are running their own individual specials. 

The Blues Jean Bar, 2210 N. Halsted St.

Already on-sale items will be an additional 50 to 75 percent off at the Blue Jeans Bar on Black Friday. The sale features select Bronx, Report, Fidelity, Seven and MIH merchandise.

Kickin' Maternity, 2120 N. Halsted St. 

Special Black Friday store hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the first five purchases in the store get a $5 Starbucks gift card. Those visiting between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. will receive 35 percent off of almost all items; those stopping in between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. will get 25 percent off; shoppers from 11 a.m. to noon will receive 20 percent off; noon to 1 p.m. customers will save $15 percent and all others trickling in will get 10 percent off.
