The boundaries between Chicago's neighborhoods can be difficult to define, and the nebulous nature of these dividing lines is particularly contested in the Bucktown-Wicker Park area.
While the city is divided into 77 distinct community areas, individual neighborhoods within these community areas are not defined in any official capacity. Wicker Park is part of the West Town area while Bucktown is part of Logan Square, but the two neighborhoods have a special relationship with one another, often blurring together or overlapping—depending on who you ask.

New Street Festival to Showcase Former Children's Hospital Block
A new locally-focused street festival will soon breathe life into an area most recently characterized by a once-bustling Children's Memorial Hospital.
The first ever "Lincoln Avenue LIVE" will be held from Saturday, June 1 through Sunday, June 2 in the shadows of the controversial former Children's campus, which has moved to Streeterville and is now called the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

'We Are Here!' Turin Bikes Open for Business
The paper is gone from the windows of Turin Bicycles just as the last bits of snow melts off the ground.
Local bikers can rejoice, because Ravenswood’s new independent bike store at 4710 N. Damen Ave. is ready for customers.
“We are here,” owner Lee Katz said. “We’re ready for people to come in and see what we have in store.”

A throng of protestors took to Chateau Hotel’s entryway Thursday night, chanting with signs and giving speaches regarding the upcoming loss of the single room occupancy housing facility.
Organized by advocacy group Lakeview Action Coalition, multiple residents and even a priest took the mic to let attendees know what Chateau means to them.
Elizabeth Hartline, a resident at Chateau, said she turned to the SRO after losing her job as a financial advisor after 14 years of employment, subsequently losing her housing. She added she’s still waiting for the housing assistance promised by Ald. James Cappleman (46th).
