Crime Map: Obscene Phone Calls; 9 Burglaries in 13 Days
Several burglaries, an incident involving "obscene phone calls," multiple motor vehicle thefts and robberies were among crimes reported within Lincoln Park between July 5 and July 18.

SUNDAY, JULY 7
- Police said an aggravated assault was reported around 12:40 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Lincoln Avenue. The incident occurred on a sidewalk.
Burglary

- A break-in to a small retail store in the 2100 block of North Clybourn Avenue was reported around 4:20 am.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 10
- Garage owners reported a break-in around 12:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Dayton Street.

- Someone broke into a small retail store in the 2100 block of North Clybourn Avenue around 3:20 a.m., according to reports.
- Police say a burglar, or burglars, broke into a construction site in the 2400 block of Orchard Street around 4:30 p.m.
- Police say thieves tried to break into a residence around 10:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Park Avenue.
SATURDAY, JULY 13
- Another garage break-in was reported around 11:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Bosworth Avenue.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 17
- A burglary was reported around 3:20 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Lakewood Avenue. Whether the incident involved a home, garage or store was not specified.
Drug Abuse
SUNDAY, JULY 14
- A "possession of drug equipment" incident occurred around 8 a.m. on a sidewalk in the 2600 block of North Clark Street.
Motor Vehicle Theft
SATURDAY, JULY 7
- Thieves targeted a vehicle around 5 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Clifton Avenue. It was parked in the street, the report said.
- A burglar, or burglars, broke into a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of North Cleveland Avenue. The car was parked in a parking lot.
- A vehicle parked in the street in the 2200 block of North Cannon Drive was burgarlized around 7 a.m.
FRIDAY, JULY 12
- Police say someone broke into a vehicle that was parked in the street in the 1700 block of West Diversey Parkway. The incident was reported around 8 p.m.
SATURDAY, JULY 13
- A resident reported a motor vehicle theft around 3 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Armitage Avenue. The car was parked in the street.
MONDAY, JULY 15
- A cycle, scooter or bike was burglarized around 1 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Cleveland Avenue, according to police reports.
- Another burglary was reported around 8:30 p.m. involving a vehicle. It was parked in the street in the 1700 block of North Clark Street.
Criminal Sex Abuse
MONDAY, JULY 15
- Police say someone was making obscene phone calls to a Wrightwood Avenue residence. The calls were coming in around 2:30 p.m., according to the report.
Robbery
FRIDAY, JULY 5
- A robbery was reported in the street around 12:30 a.m., police say. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of North Dayton Street.
MONDAY, JULY 8
- A robber armed with a handgun held up a pedestrian around 11:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Sedgwick Street.
- A separate armed robbery was reported around 3:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Sedgwick Street. Police say a handgun was also used in that crime.
TUESDAY, JULY 9
- A strong-armed robbery was reported around 10:30 a.m. on a park property in the 2000 block of North Burling Street.
FRIDAY, JULY 12
- A robber stole from a CTA rider around 4 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Clybourn Avenue. No weapon was used, the report said.
SATURDAY, JULY 13
- A robbery was reported around 10:50 p.m. at a restaurant in the 2300 block of North Ashland Avenue.
- Police say a strong-armed robbery was reported around 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of West Drummond Place. The crime occurred on a sidewalk.
SUNDAY, JULY 14
- A pedestrian was robbed around 3:50 a.m. on a sidewalk in the 400 block of West Belden Avenue. Police say the robber was unarmed.
THURSDAY, JULY 18
- A robber armed with a handgun targeted a pedestrian on a sidewalk around 12:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Dayton Street.
