Former Lincoln Park Zoo Gorilla's Baby Dies in Kansas City
A gorilla who was sent to Kansas City from the Lincoln Park Zoo recently had a baby who sadly, did not survive.

A Lincoln Park Zoo gorilla who was sent to Kansas City last year to mate recently gave birth to a premature baby who was later found dead, sources say.
The newborn was not full-term, Kansas City Zoo officials announced this week, according to Kansas news outlets.
Her mother, Makari, was brought to the zoo from Chicago to mate with 30-year-old male gorilla, Radi.
"Zookeepers on Tuesday morning found Makari with the dead offspring," reports the Kansas City Star. "She has had two successful pregnancies before."
