Lincoln Park Man Faces Sexual Assault Charges
Charges were approved Thursday against a Lincoln Park man who police say broke into an area home and sexually assaulted a woman, according to reports.

A Lincoln Park man was formally accused Thursday of breaking into a River West home last week and sexually assaulting a woman.
Derrick Baldwin, 33, of the 2200 block of North Halsted Street, was charged Thursday morning with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault and home invasion in connection with the Oct. 28 incident, according to a Sun Times Media report.
Police say that around 5 a.m., Baldwin broke into the home in the 500 block of West Kinzie Street where he attacked a woman sexually, reports WGN News.

A Cook County State's Attorney's Office spokeswoman told WGN that Baldwin's initial bail of $150,000 had been increased Thursday morning to $500,000.
