Lincoln Park Residents Rank Among Most Creative
A study of census data reveals Lincoln Park as among Chicago area communities that have the most professionals in creative fields.

Lincoln Park ranks among communities with the highest concentrations of people in the "creative class" in the Chicago area, according to Census data analyzed by The Atlantic Cities.
The website, owned by The Atlantic Monthly, recently dissected data by Census tract—a distinct area that can be smaller than a neighborhood—in and around Chicago. It defines the "creative class" as those people working in science and technology, business and management, arts, culture, media and entertainment, law, and health care.
Falling about 7 percentage points behind Chicago’s leader, Hyde Park, Lincoln Park ranked No. 10 on the list of most creative. About 74 percent of people in Lincoln Park were determined to be working in the sector, according to The Atlantic Cities. That’s compared to the entire Chicago metro area, where only 35 percent of workers—still higher than the nation’s average—reportedly work in the creative fields.
