Police: Man Passes Funny Money at Local Businesses
Chicago police are looking for a culprit who they say is spending counterfeit money here in Lincoln Park.

Police are looking for a man who they say has been passing funny money in and around Lincoln Park during the past month.
The suspect is described as black, between 20 and 27 years old, about 5-feet-9 inches to 6 feet tall, and around 150 or 175 pounds.
At least two different times, he's entered stores in the area and used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase a single item of clothing, according to police.

One reported incident was around 2:25 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 1500 block of North Halsted Street and another was around 12:30 p.m. Jan. 24 in the 500 block of West North Avenue.Â
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Area Central detectives by calling 312-747-8380.
