Moon Voyage Offers Clothing From Around the World (PHOTOS)
A new boutique in nearby Wicker Park officially opened its doors on Tuesday. Shoppers will find a wide array of clothing, accessories, gifts and beauty products there that hail from all over the globe.
Cosmetic bags from Guatemala, sunglasses from Australia and shirts from France are now all in one place for North Side shoppers, thanks to a new Wicker Park boutique.
Moon Voyage, 2010 W. Pierce Ave., officially opened on Tuesday. The boutique seeks to offer "something for everyone," says owner Susie Lee. But by the looks of the store's labels, it seems like "something from everywhere" is equally fitting.
"It's kind of a west coast meets east coast style," she said. "I mix a little vintage in, but not like your grandmother's closet. All the pieces are very edited."

Vendors include French brands American Retro and By Zoe; the United Kingdom's Lazy Oaf; Australia's Quay; and many more. Lee even features beauty products from Korea. Although she's lived in Bucktown for the last eight years, she appreciates the uniqueness that comes from items outside the U.S., she said, adding that her items are competitively priced.
Shoppers should expect to find everything from a $10 gift to a $500 leather, lamb skin vest. Silk tops run around $110 but novelty T-shirts will cost you about $30. Above all, Lee wants people to feel at ease in her store, she said.

"There are some boutiques that I'm afraid to go into," she said. "Employees either hound you or are totally aloof and unhelpful. I want this to be a fun and welcoming environment."
Lee has yet to cement permanent hours for her store, but she says it should be open from around 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on most days.
