No DUIs During Beefed Up Police Presence in Lincoln Park
Police say they didn't catch a single drunk driver during their strike around the Lincoln Park area over the weekend.

Officers may have been narrowing their sights on those in Lincoln Park over the weekend, but according to the cops, not a single drunk driver was nabbed.
Chicago Police Department officials announced their DUI Strike Force was out patrolling throughout the 19th District on Sept. 14-15 in an effort to "saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving," according to a news release.

On Tuesday police issued the results, showing that no one was arrested for driving under the influence.Â
More than 100 people, however, were given citations.

The district provides police protection on Chicago's north side, from Lawrence Avenue on the north, Fullerton Avenue on the south, the Chicago River on the west and Lake Michigan on the east.
