On-the-go Commuters, Travelers Help Toys for Tots
Looking to make a donation on the go? You have that option, thanks to a holiday toy drive through the Illinois Tollway.

Each of the seven Oases along the Illinois Tollway is collecting donations this holiday season to benefit Toys for Tots.
Drivers are invited to stop and drop off toys in specially-marked donation boxes at the Oases through Dec. 16, according to a joint news release sent by U.S. Equities Realty and the Illinois Tollway.
“This gift drop locations offer thousands of people driving through the Illinois Tollway Oases this holiday season an opportunity to stop in and make a difference in brightening a child's life," Cindy O’Drobinak, senior vice president for U.S. Equities, said in a news release. "It's as simple as dropping off an unwrapped gift during your daily travel."

Sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year. The program’s goal is to deliver a message of hope to the less fortunate through a new toy at Christmas.
Travelers are encouraged to make the season brighter for the area’s children by donating an unwrapped toy while stopping at the conveniently located Oases on their way to or from work or holiday destinations.

“Now in its fifth year, the Illinois Tollway’s annual Toys for Tots collection is expanding to including donation boxes at the Oases,” Illinois Tollway Executive Director Kristi Lafleur said in a news release. “We invite Tollway customers to take a few minutes out of their day and drop off a new toy, book or game and join us in our efforts make the holiday special for children in need.”
The Oases along the Illinois Tollway can be easily accessed, making it a convenient stop for anyone who wants a break from their trip during holiday travel, or commuting.
Each Oasis offers a variety of services for travelers, including food and beverage options, resting areas and wirelss Internet capabilities. They cater to more than 12 million annual visitors.
Donation boxes will be located in the center area of each of the seven Oases, including:
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
- Des Plaines Oasis
- Belvidere Oasis
Tri-State Tollway (I-94/I-294/I-80)
- Lake Forest Oasis
- O’Hare Oasis
- Hinsdale Oasis
- Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
- DeKalb Oasis
