Pickup Truck Crashes Into TCF Bank, Leaves 1 Injured

Police say a pickup truck crashed early this morning into a Lincoln Park TCF branch, injuring on person who was inside.

The accident occurred around 4:15 a.m. at 1400 W. Fullerton Ave., near the intersection with Southport Avenue.

One person from the truck was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Lake View and was listed in serious condition, police said. The scene was clear by about 5 a.m.

Police weren't able to provide additional details Friday morning regarding how the crash occurred or whether alcohol could have been a factor. 

The accident was the second vechicle vs. building crash in one month. On the evening of Jan. 13, an 89-year-old driver crashed through the glass storefront of the Apple Store at 801 W. North Ave., coming to a stop inside.
