Rep. to Boost Accessibility Via Satellite Hours

State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz wants to improve constituents' ability to reach her, according to a recent news release. She's making a few changes to her office hours come February.

A local representative will soon begin hosting satellite office hours, according to a recent announcement.

State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) will start the hours in March, she said. Those for the 46th Ward will be held on the first Tuesday of each month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Ald. James Cappleman’s 46th Ward office at 4544 N. Broadway Ave. in Lake View.

The new 43rd Ward satellite office hours will take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Alderman Michele Smith’s 43rd Ward office at 2523 N. Halsted St. in Lincoln Park.

Satellite office hours provide a chance for 12th district residents to conveniently contact Feigenholtz’s office within their own wards, says a news release sent from her office. District office staff will be available during the time slots to help with constituent services, questions and concerns. Feigenholtz’s office also welcomes walk-ins.

“I am committed to offering district residents access to my office about the issues that matter to them,” she said, in the release. “Satellite office hours bring my staff to those residents, offering to answer questions about legislative initiatives and to connect constituents with state services.”
