Shooting Just South of Lincoln Park Kills 1, Injures Other
Police said a Tuesday evening shooting left one dead and one injured. It occurred just south of Lincoln Park's North Avenue border.

One man was killed and another injured in a Tuesday evening shooting just south of Lincoln Park.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. at a convenience store in the 1300 block of North Sedgwick St., a Chicago Police News Affairs representative said shortly before 9 p.m.

A 31-year-old man who was shot multiple times was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. A second 20-year-old man, who was reportedly taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, was listed in stable condition.
No one was in custody as of 9 p.m. Tuesday. A CBS report links the shooting to gang activity, but news affairs representatives would not confirm that.Â

The investigation is ongoing, they said, and there "is no further information at this time."
