Accused Serial Rapist, Marc Winner, Could be Loser After 4th Sex Assualt Charge
Police say the owner of a Chicago tanning salon who already faced sex assault charges for "brutal" behavior has been accused of more.

The owner of a Chicago tanning salon who already faces multiple criminal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a former employee and two clients has now been charged with the 2010 sexual assault of a woman on the city's North Side.
Marc Winner, 45, was charged Wednesday with criminal Sexual Assault for allegedly attacking a 30-year-old woman in September 2010 at the home of his mother in the 5400 block of North Sheridan Road, according to the Office of Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez.
Prosecutors say that the victim was at a local bar on Sept. 28, 2010, waiting for a friend when she ran into the defendant, to whom she'd been previously introduced. Winner offered her a drink, which she reportedly refused. He eventually asked the victim to drive him home to where his mother lived at the time and she complied, officials said.

"Once inside the apartment, the woman attempted to leave but was restrained and held at knife point," said a statement from the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. "Winner then cut the victim’s dress and shoved her onto the couch and sexually assaulted her. The victim reported the attack to authorities two months after the incident occurred. The defendant was charged with this case after the victim identified Winner in a photo array as the result of the ongoing investigations involving the other attacks."
Winner faces separate allegations in connection with three brutal sex assaults in 2009, 2012 and 2015 when he owned and operated Soleil Tanning Salon, at 1018 W. Madison Ave. in the West Loop. After those incidents, he was arrested on charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault and kidnapping. He's accused of attacking a former female employee in July of 2009 and two clients who visited the salon in 2012 and 2015. Those cases are pending before Cook County Judge Carol Howard, officials said.

Winner appeared in bond court Wednesday at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building in Chicago, where Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas set bail at $25,000 for the 2010 case. She continued the case to Aug. 9. Winner is currently in Cook County Jail custody where he is being held without bail for a pending case.
