'The Hobbit’: Trailer, Times, Tickets

Before Frodo and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, there was another epic tale from Middle Earth.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens Dec. 13 and it's not too soon to figure out when you'll watch.
According to IMDB.com, the movie follows the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug."

The fantasy film based in a land of elves, wizards and hobbits starts this week with midnight showings. Its "official" opening on Dec. 14 will send people to Lincoln Park theaters Thursday night to get there in time for 12:01 a.m. showings.

The film debuts at Regal Webster Place 11, 1471 W. Webster Ave., at 12:01 a.m. Tickets can be purchased directly from the theater's website for $11.
Regular show times at Regal continue during the later hours Friday.
3D showings can be purchased at the following times by clicking each option:
11:00 a.m., 11:50 a.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 10:50 p.m., and 11:40 p.m.
Those wishing to see it in regular 2D can purchase tickets by at the following show times:
10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
