This Week's Pet: Q-Tip, a Lab-Pointer Mix

This week's pup is an 8-month-old who was relinquished by his owners. Will you help find Q-Tip a home?

Hello!

My name is Q-Tip. I came to PAWS Chicago Adoption Center in Lincoln Park in January after my previous family left me at Animal Care and Control. I really didn’t understand why I was there, but luckily now I am.

Sometimes my name makes people laugh, but I don’t get the joke. PAWS thinks that I’m a lab-pointer mix, but all I know is that I love to run around outside and have fun.

I really like spending time with other dogs and people. I have even spent time with a cat, and while the cat didn’t like me, I didn’t mind. Sometimes I love people so much, that I try to grab their shoes so they can’t leave my room at the adoption center!

The wonderful staff and volunteers here are trying to teach me I don’t have to do this, because people will come back eventually.

Right now, PAWS thinks I should be in a home with just adults, while I learn some manners, and get some basic training under my belt.

Will you be the one to take me home?
