This Week's Pet: Quirky 'Feather Duster' Feline
PAWS Chicago brings you this week's adoptable pet, Margo. At about 7 years old, this long-haired beauty is as sweet as can be.
Margo is a quirky gal.
This 7-year-old fluffy lady was returned to PAWS after spending most of her life in a home, and nothing would make her happier than charming a family with her unique personality and goofy antics.
Described by some volunteers as looking like “a cross between a Cheshire Cat and a feather duster,” Margo’s sweetness is written all over her face. She starts purring the moment you walk in the room and never stops.

She adores sitting in laps, though she prefers when you sit on the floor with her, since she has not shown off her jumping skills much at the Adoption Center. When she sits on you, she shows even greater affection by putting her paws on your face, staring lovingly at you with her adoring eyes, and cooing like a dove.
Margo would make an excellent Dunder Mifflin employee because she absolutely loves paper! She loves to sit on it, roll on it, and bat it with her paws. When Margo rolls over on her back and starts waving her paws, she’s telling you she’s ready for a piece of paper, wand toy and she loves to play with laser lights!

Despite her silliness, Margo fancies herself a classy lady. Drinking water from a bowl like a common house cat is beneath her! Rather, Margo prefers to drink from a tall glass like she is having cocktails with you on a Saturday afternoon.
Margo will need regular brushing to keep her gorgeous fur in top condition. She may also need diet and exercise since she is a bit overweight. However, she is deceptively quick for her size and very clever so she will have no trouble following you out the door if you are not careful.
Margo gets scared by loud noises and lots of activity, so she would prefer a quiet household where she is the only pet. Once her personality comes out, we promise that she’ll be all the entertainment you need.
Will you give her a chance?
