Thousands Vote Early in Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park ranks high in its number of early voters. Can you guess which neighborhood had the most people going to the polls early?

Early voting wrapped up Saturday in preparation for Tuesday's big election, and thousands had already flocked to the area’s designated stations to cast their ballots.

According to statistics released Sunday, 3,603 people had stopped by the 32nd Ward voting spot at the Bucktown-Wicker Park Library, 1701 N. Milwaukee Ave. and voted early. That’s the 23rd highest early voter turnout compared to the other wards in Chicago. In 5th place with 5,057 was the 43rd Ward polling place at the Lincoln Park Library, 1150 W. Fullerton Ave.

That means 8,660 people voted at polling places that serve Lincoln Park, though people casting their ballots early in the city were free to visit any polling place.

The city's 19th ward—which covers the Beverly neighborhood on the South Side—ranked first in its number of early voters. A total of 6,265 people stopped by its 111th street polling place.

The last day for early voting was Saturday, according to the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners website.
