Yogurtland Brings Custom 'Flavor Experience' to Clark

Two Yogurtland franchises—one of which is right here in Lincoln Park—will soon be opening in the city. The locations are Chicago's first, according to company representatives.

The recent weather may not be evoking thoughts of sunny skies and summertime treats, but area yogurt businesses certainly are.

The first two Yogurtland franchises in Chicago are soon landing in Lincoln Park and the Near North Side, according to the company's website. The local shop will be at 2468 N. Clark St. It joins a handful of other new sweet additions to the neighborhood including Red Mango and Forever Yogurt.

Yogurtland opened its first location in 2006, according to its website, "offering the industry's best quality frozen yogurt made from real California milk and served with a wide array of premium, popular toppings."

The company boasts the finest smooth, creamy yogurt on the market and customers' control of their own "flavor experience."

"The Yogurtland team has a passion for finding the perfect flavor that guests will love," the site says. "Yogurtland’s premium custom flavors come from real ingredients sourced from their original locations—Madagascar vanilla beans from Madagascar, Belgian chocolate from Belgium, Maqui Berry from Patagonia."

Other options include salted caramel pecan, blackberry passion fruit tart, lychee tart, dragon passion fruit tart, mango and matcha green tea, among others. Blends average about 25 calories per ounce, the website says.

Today, there are more than 200 Yogurtland locations around the world and more than 50 scheduled to open in the next six months, including the two in Chicago.

"Yogurtland is a real experience—real yogurt from real milk, real fresh cut fruit, real topping choices and real customer service," the website says. "No wonder Yogurtland is the real choice for frozen dessert fans."

A Yogurtland representative could not be immediately reached for comment on Tuesday.
