Senior Dyamond Bland led the team with 13 points and was a force under the net.
“She brings confidence to all the other girls, because she’s so strong and so capable,” Coach Maggie O’Gara said. “She’s just a leader in that regard.”

The Vikings led 14-5 at the half and Celeste Wiese kicked off the third quarter with an exciting 3-pointer.
Lake View then went on a 6-0 run, taking the score within five.
Amundsen debuted their press and point guard Shannel Rodriguez earned six steals for the night.
O’Gara called Rodriguez a force on top that plays good defense along with offense.
“She’s just a true point guard,” O’Gara said. “And her role is to set up the plays, execute the offenses and balance the floor.”
Despite the win, there’s still room for improvement, the coach said.
“We tend to panic a little bit under pressure, so we need to work tomorrow on handling the ball under pressure and passing the ball under pressure,” she said. “They played very good defense, so we were a little flustered.”
For their next game, the Vikings take on Rickover Naval Academy School in Edgewater Dec. 5.
