Chicago Comedy Film Festival, Friday through Sunday
Details: Join DePaul University School of Cinema and Interactive Media for a barrel of laughs at this independent comedy film festival. Hosted Friday through Sunday at the CIM Theater at 247 S State Street, the festival features more than nine films and short pieces.
Cost: $10 to $100
Lincoln Square Ravenswood Fall Wine Stroll, Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Details: Join businesses along Lincoln, Damen and Montrose avenues in sampling more than 20 different wines.
Cost: $40 for one route, $60 for all routes.
Liza Day CD Release at Double Door, Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Details: The silky-voiced artist will be at Wicker Park’s own Double Door for a CD release and show at 8:30 p.m.
