Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held In Andersonville
The meeting will discuss policing issues in Beat 2012, which includes parts of the Bowmanville, Andersonville and Edgewater neighborhoods.

CHICAGO, IL — A Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Andersonville neighborhood. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in the 20th District's Beat 2012, which include parts of the Bowmanville, Andersonville and West Edgewater neighborhoods(see map below). The CAPS meeting will be held at 1609 W. Gregory Street.
The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.
The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
