Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held In Buena Park

CHICAGO — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Thursday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. in Uptown. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in Beat 1915, which includes Buena Park, Graceland Cemetery and Montrose Harbor. The CAPS meeting will be held at Uptown Buena Library, 929 W Buena.

The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.

The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
