Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held In Ravenswood

The meeting will discuss policing issues in beats 1911 and 1912, which include parts of Lincoln Square and Ravenswood.

CHICAGO — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in Ravenswood. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in the 19th District's Beats 1911 and 1912, which include parts of Lincoln Square and Ravenswood. The CAPS meeting will be held at Sulzer Library, 4455 N. Lincoln.

The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.

The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
