Cleetus Friedman to Star in 'Revolutionary' Food Series
Fountainhead's new chef and "Check, Please!" host hopeful will be hosting a different kind of show, airing online in May.

New Fountainhead chef Cleetus Friedman will be hosting a show about the Chicago food scene, but it’s not “Check, Please!”
Grub Street Chicago reports the chef is co-hosting “Food Revolution Chicago,” a show featuring innovative products and techniques from around the city. A May debut is set for the online series.
The internet may not be the only place to see the former City Provisions chef on the big screen. Friedman is also one of the show highlighting Chicago restaurants.

"There's absolutely no conflict of interest," Friedman told Grub Street Chicago. "I'm so gung ho about “Check, Please!” and it's not a huge commitment. The number one priority is my job at Fountainhead, but I don't think it would be hard to incorporate them all."
Friedman is co-hosting the show with Rick Gresh of David Burke’s Primehouse. Fans will be invited to filming and have input through social media and a smartphone app.

Donned in t-shirts saying, "I'm Revolting," Friedman and Gresh say the show will be different from the average food show.
“We’re not going to be standing in front of a stove showing you how to keep your soufflé from falling,” Gresh said in a teaser video.
Fiaba Productions’ David Greiner is producing the weekly show, comprised of five, five-minute episodes.
Greiner told Grub Street he hopes the show will be picked up by TV networks.
