Commercial Released Featuring Lincoln Square Fountain

Watch this commercial, and you may notice a neighborhood landmark that signifies the heart of Lincoln Square. 

A Chicago production company used the fountain at Giddings Plaza for a national commercial, airing now. 

Film crews shot in late September for the Portland-based Henry Weinhard’s brewery. 

The 30-second clip features the fountain in Giddings Plaza spewing with beer.

It recreates a 1987 stunt by Henry Weinhard when he tried to fill a public fountain in Portland with beer. Why did city officials reject the idea? Drunk, rowdy horses of course, according to the brewery's website.
