Ear Tumor Surgery Needed for my Zoe: GoFundMe Campaign

Chicago, IL - A GoFundMe campaign has been recently launched for a rescue cat named Zoe who is in urgent need of ear surgery to remove a tumor/polyp from her ear. Her ear growth is protruding from her ear and has caused her to have reoccurring ear infections. Zoe spends her day scratching her little head until it bleeds because of the irritation and/or pain (cats are notorious for hiding their pain). She is in a lot of discomfort and tries shaking her head to try and get rid of the growth.

About Zoe: Zoe was adopted from a rescue shelter when she was a kitten…she is now 9 years old and is such a sweet and dear bundle of joy. Over the years treated her recurring ear infections have been treated with antibiotic drops and oral antibiotics….However, her vet has informed us that the growth is too large for any further treatments except for surgery. The good news is that after her recent exam and blood work, she is found to be in perfect health except for the ear growth…and that once she has the surgery, she will have a normal life.

Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery needed for Zoe is huge! We have been given a couple of surgical options.

Option #1: The surgical option to remove the growth entirely is quoted as $6,505. This option would remove the growth and make an incision underneath her ear to remove any residual growth that might resume if left unremoved. This option would ensure that Zoe’s growth would not come back.

Option #2: The cost for the surgery to extract the growth but not remove any residual growth from underneath her ear is $2,316.

This is a huge amount and one that I can only undertake with the help of family, friends and animal lovers/supporters . I know that there are so many urgent and worthy causes that come your way. Zoe and I would appreciate it greatly if this cause for Zoe’s surgery would find its way into your heart. Any amount that you may be able to contribute is deeply appreciated.
