Light Snow Predicted as Fatal Storm Hits Midwest
Experts are predicting more snow than the area received just before Christmas.

Snow is coming, but it may not be much.
The Chicago area is expected to receive a light dusting from a storm traveling from the South to the Northeast.
A 30 percent chance of snow is predicted with a high near 34 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Snow could continue into Wednesday night and Thursday morning before noon. Temperatures won’t get above 35.

The snow is part of a larger storm moving up from the Central Plains to New England. Strong thunderstorms and tornadoes were seen in Alabama on Tuesday; two deaths and several injuries were reported, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The system will intensify as it travels, the National Weather Service said. More than 6 inches of snow could hit upstate New York by Thursday.
