Vino Lovers: Spring Wine Stroll Set for April
Tickets go on sale soon for the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce's biannual wine stroll.
Locals will once again turn the neighborhood’s business districts into wine country, as the date for the Spring Wine Stroll was announced Tuesday.
Organized by the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Provenance Food and Wine, the stroll is a bi-annual celebration of area businesses and wine.
While walking down Lincoln, Montrose and Damen avenues, residents can stop in local shops for dozens of wine and hors d’oeuvres samples.

The wine stroll is set for Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale a month before on March 25. A $40 ticket buys a wine glass and a trip through one of three business districts. Extreme wine enthusiasts can purchase all routes for $60. Two of the routes will span Lincoln Avenue, with another in the Damen and Montrose area.

Stops include Himmel’s, Amy’s Candy Bar, Fountainhead, The Grafton, Planet Access Company Store,, Troquet, Steve Quick Jewelers, Homesoul Shop, Sacred Art, Frill Accessory Boutique, The Perfect Cup, Copper House, It’s a Paws World and Granville Picture Framing, according to a release from the chamber.
This year, at least three wines will be from the Midwest. Independent craft winery Illinois Sparkling Company will join Michigan wines Chateau Chantal and Uncle John's Cider.
In November, the Fall Wine Stroll brought 340 people to area businesses. Tickets sold out for the event, which included more than 80 different wines.
