Montrose Closed At Ravenswood Avenue
Attention commuters: a notice from Ald. Ameya Pawar said Montrose Avenue will be closed until Feb. 1 for steel installation.

Effective immediately, Montrose Avenue will be closed at Ravenswood until Feb. 1.
The announcement came Wednesday afternoon from Ward 47 Ald. Ameya Pawar’s office saying Walsh Construction closed the street to install structural steel for the new Metra bridge.
The closure includes southbound Ravenswood between Montrose and Berteau avenues Thursday from 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Montrose Bridge will also be partially closed through Feb. 26.

“Thank you for your patience with this project. I realize the impact it has on the neighborhood. My office will continue to coordinate with Metra, Union Pacific, and Walsh Construction to expedite the work while minimizing the impacts on the community as much as possible,” Pawar stated in the email.
