Most Promiscuous Gay Cities: Chicago Ranks

With Lake View’s Boystown neighborhood crowned as the first officially recognized gay village in the United States, its no wonder Chicago made the list of the “10 Most Promiscuous Gay Cities in America.”

But while it may be the first gay village, when it comes to promiscuity, Chicago came in sixth place.

Calling itself the world’s largest “sugar daddy” dating network, the website SeekingArrangement.com polled roughly 11,000 gay users regarding their sexual habits. In this instance, the site asked how many members joined simply to find a “hook up.”

“According to our study, more gay males utilize online dating for ‘hooking up’ compared to heterosexual males," the site's founder Brandon Wade said in a statement. "While there is always potential to fall in love, online dating makes it very easy to find singles who are similarly looking for something less serious.”

Rounding out first place was West Hollywood, the home of the Abbey Bar that Boystown has been buzzing about. They took the top stop based on how many men responded saying they had 10 or more sexual partners in a year.
