Neighborhood Making Space for Contemporary Art
The Space, on Lawrence Avenue, is a new art gallery displaying work from across the Midwest.

Contemporary fine art has found a new home in Lincoln Square. The Space, a Moberg Art Gallery, is now open at 2707 W. Lawrence Ave.
Tim Duerkop and Kate Mullin are the managing partners in the business, and reside in the neighborhood.
"It allows us to create our ideal atmosphere; relaxed, unfussy, approachable, and ultimately a fun environment to consume fine art, we hope you like it,” Mullin said in a release.

Currently, The Space is home to more than 20 works of art from across the Midwest. Most notably is artwork from Larassa Kabel, whose oil “Bo in the Snow” was chosen for the White House Christmas card. Chicago-based artists Lynn Basa and Sandra Perlow are also featured.
The gallery is hosting an opening reception Feb. 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. and is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
