Not Flaking It: Snow Predicted for Chicago
It may be time to get out the moon boots and mittens. Officials are predicting snow as a storm moves in on the Midwest.

Each day sets a new record for a snowless Chicago, but that could come to an end on Thursday.
Experts are predicting anywhere from one to "several" inches of snow.
Chicago has an 80 percent chance of flurries—especially after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Snow will continue into the night and temperatures could reach 24 degrees.

The area could see enough for a snowball fight— up to several inches, Mark Ratzer, a senior meteorologist with the National Weather Service, told the Chicago Tribune.
Other parts of the Midwest might get 6 to 12 inches of show, he said.

Along with the longest delay in between snowfalls—287 days, Monday set a new record for the latest date of snow. In 1965, the first measurable snowfall came Dec. 16.
