Pawar Talks New Brewery, Beer Scene in the Ward

Ward 47 Ald. Ameya Pawar sat down with experts in the Chicago beer scene and spilled who he'd like to see come to the neighborhood.

It’s no coincidence new breweries and taprooms like Begyle, Spiteful and Half Acre headed to the neighborhood, joining staples Metropolitan Brewing and Koval Distillery.

Northcenter and Ravenswood have become the newest craft beer hotspots, and it’s partly because of the area’s representation on Chicago City Council.

That’s why Karl Klockars, a writer for the beer review website Guys Drinking Beer, sat down with Ward 47 Ald. Ameya Pawar for a Q&A on the neighborhood brew scene.
