Pawar to Address Questions, Opinions on CAN TV

In addition to the Wednesday TV appearance, the alderman is also hosting a meeting Thursday about new developments on Lawrence Avenue.

Residents will have the opportunity to connect with their local alderman on a live call-in show hosted by CAN TV Wednesday.

Ward 47 Ald. Ameya Pawar will be on the air at 7 p.m. to hear opinions and answer constituent questions.

Viewers can watch the show on cable channel 21 or on CAN TV’s website. Submit questions by calling in and posting on CAN TV’s Facebook and Twitter.

Pawar, whose ward covers parts of the Lincoln Square, Ravenswood and Northcenter neighborhoods, was elected in 2011.

The alderman is also hosting a community meeting about construction on Lawrence Avenue. The meeting will begin at 6:30 on Thursday at McPherson Elementary School, 4728 North Wolcott Avenue.

Financial approval for a development at Lawrence and Ravenswood is scheduled for city council consideration on Thursday. The project includes a Mariano’s Fresh Market and L.A. Fitness along with other street improvements to Lawrence Avenue.
