Cops Arrest 1 of 2 Sunnyside Armed Robbers
A 42-year-old woman was reportedly robbed at gunpoint near Sunnyside and Wolcott avenues on Friday night. Police were able to find one of the two suspects who they said are responsible for the crime.

Police were only able to find half of a two-man duo Friday who they said committed an armed robbery in Lincoln Square.
The pair robbed a 42-year-old woman around 11 p.m. that night in the 1900 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, according to the police report. Officers reportedly saw the victim screaming and waving her hands while they were on their way to another call.
They also spotted the two suspects fleeing westbound, the report said. Although they weren't able to immediately locate the victim after they turned around, police did find a vacant, idle vehicle with its doors open. A pistol was sitting on the curb beneath the passenger-side door, police said.

Police eventually found the victim, who said the two men passed in a car, parked in front of her and approached her. They then pushed her to the ground and demanded her purse, threatening her life, according to the report. The suspects took three bags and returned to the car, but as officers approached, they fled.
Investigators recovered all items except for the victim’s Blackberry. During a line-up, the victim identified the first suspect, a 42-year-old man. The second suspect was described as a 20- to 25 year-old black man, according to police.
