Police Make Arrests for One-Fifth of Crimes in May

Out of 119 crimes reported in Lincoln Square, police made 25 arrests.

The majority of crime reports in Lincoln Square shifted from Lincoln and Foster avenues to the Western Brown Line Station over the month of May.

That's according to a Patch analysis of police reports from the City of Chicago Data Portal, comparing April and May crime.

Lincoln Square residents reported 119 crimes in May, the most common of which were theft with 34 occurrences, and battery, with 23.

Police made arrests in about 20 percent of those cases, tallying 25 suspects.
