Ravenswood Metra Changing Platforms
Construction on the Metra station is underway; the outbound station will use a temporary platform for the next year.
Metra commuters may have noticed a change Wednesday, when the outbound platform switched to a temporary one on the northwest side of Lawrence Avenue.
Outbound passengers will use the temporary platform for the next year, according to an announcement from the Ward 47 office.
As a result of repairs, the bridge at Foster and Ravenswood will be closed until Nov. 3 and a partial closure will last until Nov. 9.

Foster at Ravenswood will also be closed from Nov. 5 through Nov. 16 because of viaduct repairs.
The Ward 40 office said residents can take the following detour: westbound Foster to southbound Ashland to westbound Lawrence to northbound Damen to westbound Foster and reverse.
