Second School Closing Meeting for Trumbull Tonight at Amundsen
At the first community meeting, parents and teachers spoke against the closing of the Andersonville elementary school.
Andersonville has two more opportunities to protest the closing of Trumbull Elementary School—one will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Amundsen High School.
Chicago Public Schools officials placed the school on a list of 54 slated for closure in the 2013-2014 school year.
At the first meeting Tuesday night, parents and teachers pleaded with CPS for nearly two hours, all saying one thing: keep the school open.
