The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Seeks YOUR Help this #GivingTuesday

Can we count on your support on November 29 to help the homeless in Cook and Lake Counties?

On November 29, The National Global Day of Generosity, #GivingTuesday, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago seeks your support.

#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. #GivingTuesday will kick off the holiday season this year by inspiring people to give back through donations, volunteering, or simply being a voice in the community. It is a day when you can make a large impact on The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago and those we serve.

This #GivingTuesday, please join SVdP Chicago to help feed, clothe, house, and offer hope to our local neighbors and friends in need.

Last year, SVdP Chicago was able to help over 88,000 people with food, clothing, utility bills, rent, transportation, and medical expenses thanks to the generosity and hard work of our dedicated supporters and volunteers. Our goal for 2022 is to use the funds raised during #GivingTuesday to meet the increased calls for assistance in our local communities. Due to the ongoing economic impact of the pandemic and rising inflation, we are responding to a significant rise among those we serve for food, clothing, and housing assistance and anticipate the need growing even greater this winter.

Your assistance can help a family down your street whose budget is impacted by loss of employment and have fallen behind on their bills. It may be a single mother who depends on free school food programs and now has hungry children learning remotely from home. It may also be an elderly person suffering the loneliness of staying at home to stay safe and needs spiritual connection or a Veteran who feels they have nowhere else to turn to keep them off the streets in the cold weather.
