Special Valentine's Day Dinners in Lincoln Square

You’re welcome, procrastinators. Valentine’s Day is Thursday and if you haven’t thought about dinner reservations or gifts yet, we’ve got it covered.

Whether you’ve been married for 40 years or still in the "I can’t text him back right away or else he’ll think I’m staring at my phone all the time," phase, these neighborhood restaurants are all offering special menus.

For the singletons, most of these menu prices are per person, so don’t be afraid of losing out on good food just because it’ll be the couple corral out there.

Café Selmarie

Their winter-themed prix fixe menu is $44 per person and includes three courses. Start with a butternut ginger bisque and move through choices of strip steak, pasta, tuna, duck or chicken breast. Lastly, choose from six desserts ranging from a mixed berry cocktail to a decadent chocolate cake.

Candlelight ambiance is no extra charge and a PDF of their menu is attached.

Due Lire  

In case you’re under a rock on Thursday and forget it’s Valentine’s Day, Due Lire is offering their V-Day special through Sunday. A tasting menu for $50 includes an amuse and three courses. Every bite will be infused with Italian influence. Mamma mia!

Fork

It’s the age-old problem: she wants pork belly and he wants tofu. Luckily, Fork has two options for its Valentine’s Day special, one featuring seafood and the other a vegetarian menu. The first course is of the cheese and charcuterie variety, with crudo, sole and braised kale in the second. Wine pairings are also available (in case it’s a first date and things get weird).

Isla Filipino Restaurant

With a choice of Isla Chicken, steak or a tomato stew and two desserts, the Filipino restaurant recommends this meal for any couple.

“If you plan to bring that special someone who you are not yet fully committed to but are optimistic about the future because you have so many things in common that it just makes sense, but still tiptoeing around awkward silent moments … make reservations now!” their Facebook page states.

Himmel's

A glass of champagne and acoustic music accompanies dinner at the German-Italian Himmel's, formerly Pizza D.O.C. Patrons can choose between Chilean Sea Bass, beef filet or roasted prime rib with an appetizer, salad and dessert for $65.
