Vikings on the Hunt: Amundsen Graduates Almost 300 Seniors
Amundsen students said goodbye to their high school days as they graduated Tuesday night at North Park University.
Nearly 300 Amundsen Vikings are off to find fresh water and new lands, as the class of 2013 graduated Tuesday night.
Messages of pride and nostalgia were heard throughout the night from students speakers
"Viking graduates, class of 2013... you are ready," first year principal Anna Pavichevich said. "I honor you, and I am grateful to have known and learned from you."
The students earned nearly $2.7 million in scholarships for two and four-year universities.
As keynote speaker Sen. Miguel de Valle said: "This is what excellence looks like."
