The Scoop On Yogurt Square: Closed, But Not Forever

The frozen yogurt store is less than a year old, and the owner says it's not going anywhere.

Brown paper appeared over the windows of Yogurt Square one day in December, and Lincoln Square residents were left wondering what happened to the frozen yogurt shop.

Fear not froyo fans, owner Ali Ozturk assured Patch that Yogurt Square is simply going through some renovations.

Customers will see new tile and paint when the business opens again in late January or early February.

Also, Ozturk is adding four new yogurt flavors for a total of 16 choices. New toppings will be available too, but he kept mum on the details.

Yogurt Square opened in February 2012 at Lincoln and Leland near Giddings Plaza. Locally owned by Ozturk, it offers sugar and lactose-free yogurts, smoothies and juices.
