2 Ejected, 1 Critical After Single-Car Rollover Crash: Manhattan Fire

The accident happened Wednesday on US 52 just south of Smith Road.

MANHATTAN, IL — One person was in critical condition and another suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a single-car, rollover crash Wednesday evening in Manhattan, fire officials said.

Two males believed to be in their late-teens or early 20s were taken from the scene at US 52 just south of Smith Road, Manhattan Fire Protection District Chief Steve Malone said.

The accident happened just before 7:15 p.m., Malone said.

Both were taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Malone said.
