1 Critically Injured, 3 Extricated From 3-Vehicle Crash In Manhattan
Manhattan police were asking drivers to avoid the area of US 52 and Baker Road after a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon.
MANHATTAN, IL — Three people had to be extricated from vehicles, and one person suffered life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash in Manhattan just before 4 p.m. Monday afternoon, officials said.
Manhattan police are urging drivers to re-route after the crash at Baker Road and US 52 in Manhattan. Three people were taken to nearby hospitals, one with life-threatening injuries, said Manhattan Fire Chief Steve Malone. Two others refused treatment.
Initial reports indicate the crash involved a car, pickup truck, and construction truck, Manhattan Police Chief Jeff Wold told Patch.
