Food Trucks, Fire Pits, Family Fun At Manhattan's Taste Of Fall

After a muddy debut in 2023, Manhattan's Taste of Fall is back for a day of family-friendly fun.

MANHATTAN, IL — After a successful debut last year, the Village of Manhattan is bringing back its Taste of Fall for its second year, officials said in a release.

Manhattan's 2nd annual Taste of Fall is set for Saturday, Oct. 5, from 2 to 8p.m., in the parking lot behind 195 S. State St. The event will be held in the parking lot behind 195 S. State St. and is set for a day filled with mouthwatering food, lively entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Manhattan’s Taste of Fall features an array of food and drink for purchase, including hot dogs, tacos, BBQ, lobster, and more. Sweet treats like ice cream and cakes will satisfy sweet tooth, while an adult beverage selection includes refreshing margaritas and locally brewed beers. We even have fresh brewed coffee and smoothies.

  • Live Music: Midlife Crisis is set to perform from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Family Fun
    • 2 to 4:30 p.m.: Face painting and pumpkin decorating with the Manhattan Park District
    • 4 to 7 p.m.: Capture the moment with a caricature artist
  • Fall Decor: Visit Bothwell Farms’ stand for fall decor, including mums, pumpkins, and gourds.
  • Cozy Fire Pits: Relax with friends and family around fire pits set up by the Manhattan Fire Department.
  • Artisan Fair: From 2 to 5 p.m., he Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Artisan Fair will set up shop in the Wabash parking lot, featuring over 20 vendors showcasing local crafts and goods.

Admission is free. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a fantastic fall day filled with flavors, fun, and community spirit, the Village said in a release.
