Manhattan Police Chief Vote Coming

New Dunkin project dive-thru permit vote, Labor Day plans update also on agenda.

MANHATTAN, IL — The search for a new police chief for the Village of Manhattan may soon be over, as the Village Board is expected to review a recommendation for the top job at its Tuesday meeting.

If the board accepts the recommendation, the new chief would replace Brian Zarnowski, who currently serves as the interim chief.

Also on the agenda for the board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall, 260 Market Place, is finalizing of Labor Day Weekend plans, an ordinance to grant a special use permit for a drive through for a planned Dunkin at 535 W. North St. and appointments to Laraway Communication Center's Board of Directors.
