Manhattan Launches Community Alert Network

The Village of Manhattan has partnered with Will Co. Emergency Management to provide residents with alerts from the Village.

MANHATTAN, IL — Residents in Manhattan can now sign up for real-time alerts from the Village via email and/or text messages about important announcements, according to Village officials.

The Village of Manhattan has has partnered with the Will County Emergency Management agency to launch the Community Alert Network, which allows members of the Manhattan community to receive the alerts, according to Village officials.

Residents can get messages about neighborhood crime alerts, water and sewer repairs, street closures, parking bans, festivals, and community press releases, among other items, according to Village officials.

Residents can create an account by following this link. Residents will be asked to provide contact and location information into the Community Alert Network, which will be kept confidential, according to Village officials. Residents can opt out of receiving alerts at any time.
