Coroner IDs Woman Fatally Hit By Vehicle In Will County

The 27-year-old woman died after being struck by a car while on foot on LaGrange Road in Peotone Friday night.

PEOTONE, IL — The Will County Coroner has identified the Lockport pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle late Friday night in Peotone.

Alexandria Jadron, 27, died after she was struck by a vehicle late Friday night on LaGrange Road in Peotone, Frankfort Fire District officials confirmed Saturday.

First responders were called just before 11:30 p.m. to the 27100 block of LaGrange Road for a report of a woman struck. Frankfort Fire Protection District was at the scene, with Manhattan Fire Protection District assisting. She was taken from the scene in cardiac arrest, officials said.

The coroner's office said Jadron was pronounced dead just after 1:15 a.m. at the Silver Cross Hospital emergency room in New Lenox.

The road was closed for several hours while authorities investigated. Two people in the car were treated at the scene and released.

Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.

"Ali was the kindest, most caring, young wild beautiful soul you could’ve ever met," the organizers wrote. "She was so dedicated to her job at Autozone in New Lenox. She always put everyone else first before herself. She was full of love and joy and known by so many people. Ali will forever be in all of our hearts. Please pray for the family, friends & loved ones while going through this extremely hard time."
