A search for Robert Hollingsworth will start Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Berkot's in Manhattan.

MANHATTAN, IL — The family of a Mokena man believed missing and endangered after fleeing a crash in Manhattan Wednesday has planned a search effort Thursday afternoon.
Robert Hollingsworth, 28, was last seen around 2 a.m. Wednesday, near the scene of the crash on Rte. 52 and North Street in Manhattan. Hollingsworth might have been injured in the crash, police and family have said. The car involved left the roadway, striking a tree and a building, according to Interim Chief of Police Brian Zarnowski.
Hollingsworth's mother Katie Hollingsworth, has organized a search effort to take place Thursday afternoon. Anyone interested in participating should gather in the parking lot of Berkot's in Manhattan, 100 Market Pl, at 3:30 p.m.

His mother is concerned for Hollingsworth's mental health, saying he could be having suicidal ideations, mother Katie Hollingsworth told Patch.
Robert Hollingsworth had been at a friend's house in Bourbonnais earlier in the evening, when his mother believes he suffered a manic episode indicative of BiPolar II Disorder, Hollingsworth said.
Hollingsworth last heard from her son around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, when he sent her a text message indicating he intended to harm himself, she said. His phone and wallet were left in the car, she said. Hollingsworth said he could have headed to Joliet, but she is not certain.

Hollingsworth on Thursday urged anyone in the area to check Ring doorbell camera footage, look in sheds and garages. She believes he may be hiding somewhere.
"This is the first time when I’ve really feared for his safety," Hollingsworth told Patch.
Robert is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs 220 pounds. Both ears are pierced. He has several tattoos, his mother said, including a semi-colon butterfly with the saying, "Nothing Is Forever" on his right arm. He also has one of the character Cartman from South Park on his calf. He was wearing gray sweatpants when last seen.
